MARCUS BENJAMIN

Marcus Benjamin, known to many as Coach Benji, is a highly experienced athlete with a background in junior college, Division I, and professional football.

A Louisiana native, Marcus was a standout multi-sport athlete at Westgate High School, excelling in both football and track. He continued his athletic career at Arizona Western Community College, where he earned All-American honors and a scholarship to the University of Arizona.

After college, Marcus participated in several NFL and CFL training camps, where he enjoyed a successful career before retiring due to injuries.

Following his playing career, Marcus founded CULTURE / CULTURE Tucson Athletics and his youth non-profit CULTURE (501(c)(3)) as a way to give back to the community. His mission is to provide development, coaching, and mentorship that prepares young athletes to be not only successful in sports but also career and community-ready in life.

Coach Benji has built a true culture of family, accountability, and growth—a place where athletes feel welcome, inspired, and confident to chase their dreams. For him, this journey is about more than training—it’s about creating opportunities, instilling values, and changing lives through sports.
